Cruising
The Club offers a number of cruising event throughout the year, Weather permitting!
This year we will run the Commodore’s Cruise to Fowey on Saturday 24th May , with a BBQ on the Grid Iron pontoon. Make sure to get this popular event in your diary!
The Trevor Parrott Memorial Race (run with the RNSA to Salcombe on Saturday 10th May is also a cruise for those who don’t want to race.
Other cruising suggestions for the year may include :
- Scillies, late May/early June, possibly leaving from Fowey after the Commodore’s Cruise
- FaImouth, Helford, Portscatho, taking in the Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival 13-15th June
- Yealm 6/7 July
- Other suggested short-range destinations: Polhawn Cove, Dandy Hole
- Possible long-range destinations: Guernsey, Brittany, ..
The idea is to be flexible, and spontaneous!
Details of trips to one or more of these places will be posted on the WhatsApp group nearer to the time – once the weather outlook is clear.
All members of the cruising group are encouraged to post invitations to others on the WhatsApp group if they would like company on a trip they are planning.
